Remote IT job has gained popularity over the years but absolutely skyrocketed as the pandemic hit. The onset of Covid-19 has forced businesses all over the world to shift to remote work. As businesses sprawled the internet trying to find solutions to managing remote teams, various applications all surfaced and are now helping people adapt to the “new normal”.

Zoom, notion, Slack, Convo, are a few names that are frequented and if you are starting to look for remote work, it’s best to equip familiarize yourself with these before you go in for interviews.

He further explained that software developers and engineer roles have long been transitioned to doing things via cloud-native technologies.

This brings us back to the topic. Finding remote IT jobs is not hard and you just need to look at the right places. We have compiled a list of websites where you can find tons of information and job postings. The list also includes a few companies that actively hire remote employees all year round.

Stack overflow has a job board and since they deal with all things tech, developers and software engineers are in luck. The best part is there is no payment required. You don’t have to sign up or pay anything to apply to a job.

That being said, unlike some bigger job posting sites, they don’t have loads of job postings every day. On average 1-5 jobs are posted per day.

Angellist has tons of startup job postings every day. Moreover, finding a remote job is easy with its advanced filters. You don’t have to be located in a tech hub to be able to find a good IT-related job.

Github is more often used by developers and software engineers as a repository of programming knowledge and projects. People from different backgrounds can share code, problems, ask questions, and learn from other programmers.

What most people don’t realize is that it also has a job board. The jobs are mostly web- development focused and often remote.

Whether you are located in US or outside, remote work has become the norm and it seems like it is here to stay. With software engineers and developers there is an added advantage of a shortfall in the industry. If you have the right skills and are willing to learn, you can land a pretty decent remote job that can also allow you flexible work hours.

Remote jobs also come with the added advantage of having the time to work on side-projects. With time being saved from the daily commute to and from work, you cannot just focus on the work at hand but can invest the additional time into improving your skills.
