National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance exam conducted for admissions to BDS, BSMS, MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS. Owing to the pandemic the Class 12th Board exams were canceled, and considering the COVID scenario, the NEET exams are also postponed to avoid the spread of the disease. Now the NEET 2021 is scheduled to be held on September 12. However, the board has derived a new marking system and is going to declare the grades of the students for Class 12.
With the changes in the dates and the ongoing pandemic, the students are confused regarding the syllabus of the entrance exam as it is dependent on the curriculum of classes 11 and 12. Also, owing to the pandemic education has become more virtual than ever before. With these physical and technical challenges, the educational authorities have requested the board to reduce the syllabus for these classes. However, in their press release, the Ministry of Education has declared that there would be no change in the NEET 2021 syllabus. But the aspirants would get more options to answer considering the changes in the exam pattern of classes 11 and 12. The students would get more questions in the various sections of physics, chemistry, and biology to provide more options to the candidates.
